The children's author David Walliams dropped by book publisher.
Best-selling children's author and TV personality David Walliams has been dropped by his publisher HarperCollins UK, the company has said.
A representative for the firm said: "After careful consideration, and following the appointment of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing additional books by David Walliams."
Reports indicate that the decision was made after an review of claims about inappropriate behaviour directed at women.
The firm has not elaborated on the reasons for its decision, adding: "It is not our policy to discuss confidential company decisions."
A Highly Successful Writing Journey
Walliams ranks among Britain's most successful children's authors, boasting over over six tens of millions of copies worldwide in five dozen languages.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins fifteen years ago.
Some of his works, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into television films.
To date, he has released more than 40 books combined, which features a festive story titled *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins this past October.

He first rose to fame on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was awarded an OBE back in 2017 honoring his contributions to charity and the arts.
This move occurs subsequent to the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss this past October.
