On Monday, the tribunal learned phone records and evidence obtained from phones documented Ms Wandelt consistently requesting Madeleine's mother for a genetic test over the past two years.

Madeleine's disappearance in 2007 - as a three-year-old during a trip in Portugal - is among the most publicized missing child cases and remains unsolved.

'I Do Not Need Money'

A separate voicemail, presented in court, documented Ms Wandelt declaring: "I know I'm overweight and not pretty like Madeleine had been, but I know what I know."

While another instance of Ms Wandelt's monologues with Mrs McCann's recording said: "Imagine there is a small chance that I'm her? What happens next? Is that not crucial for you?"

"I don't want money, I possess a life here in Poland, I just want to know," the message continued.

The tribunal was told that through electronic messages, text messages and phone calls, Ms Wandelt demanded a DNA test, transmitted youth pictures to her phone in a attempt to demonstrate a resemblance to Mrs McCann's missing daughter, and asserted to have "memories" from a youth with the McCanns.

An intelligence analyst, an intelligence analyst with the police force who gathered the information, advised the court there "seemed to lack any responses" from Mrs McCann.

Ms Wandelt also communicated with close associates of the McCanns, as per the phone records.

On that date, Gerry McCann responded to a communication from Ms Wandelt to his wife's phone, stating she had "a wrong number."

During that incident Ms Wandelt left a voicemail on Mrs McCann's answerphone stating "I will persist and I will prove my position."

The court was informed Mrs Spragg established a relationship via internet with Ms Wandelt prior to accompanying her on a trip to the McCanns' property in the county in last December.

Call logs showed Mrs Spragg had contacted using communication app to Mrs McCann to state the news outlets had portrayed Ms Wandelt as "a crazy person" but that she ought to be treated respectfully in the months leading up to the visit to that location, the county, in last December.

The court was told communications between the two accused, in November 2024, considering trying to acquire Mrs McCann's biological evidence from her trash or from cutlery at a eating establishment.

"We must make a stand," Mrs Spragg informed Ms Wandelt.

On the evening of the trip to their house, the defendant sent a communication which said: "We find ourselves sat near the McCanns' residence with our headlights off like investigators. I had hoped to do this with another person I hadn't anticipated I would be involved in this with the McCanns."

The trial ongoing.
