After quite some time of anticipation, the battle royale mode for Battlefield 6 is at last releasing. Last week's talk suggesting its release would align with Season 1 were accurate. Gamers can jump into the action starting very soon.
Season 1 Introducing a New Map, Style, and Guns
In tandem with the battle royale release, the new season is also starting. This adds a fresh location, a new mode, and fresh guns. What's more, Redsec is arriving. An embedded trailer will go live at launch, offering gamers a taste of what's to come.
Free-to-Play Access Makes Redsec Accessible to Any Player
Maybe the key announcement is that Battlefield Redsec will be F2P. Similar to other offerings, you don't have to own the base game to play. Some gamers have previously tested alpha versions of the mode. Those tests were held in Battlefield Labs, which the studio described as their largest fan involvement initiative.
The heart-pounding excitement while fighting another squad is unique in other BR game. It seems do or die, and you genuinely worry if you die or survive.
Although I was a snob beforehand, I'm fully a fan of the BR mode after playing it.
These first feedback from players have been very positive. Of course, the experience may have changed over the last month or two in terms of balancing and speed. Still, first impressions are positive that Redsec could emerge as a real competitor to established titles. Players are wishing that the top weapons from the original Battlefield 6 will be available in the battle royale.
