Actor Denies Anti-Vaxxer Position After Lending His Voice To Controversial Covid Feature

The acclaimed actor has lent his narration to a new documentary that challenges the safety of immunizations and commends ex- government figure Robert F Kennedy Jr.

The Documentary's Provocative Basis

Named "Plague of Corruption," the documentary is based on a bestselling book co-authored by Judy Mikovits, who rose to infamy during the pandemic for claims that the virus was a result of a problematic version of the flu vaccine.

The publication's writing partner, the executive producer, has previously authored books with far-right media personality the Infowars host. The producer recently posted hailing Neeson's role in the project.

A Firm Statement

A spokesperson for Liam Neeson have issued a comment pushing back against suggestions that he supports anti-vax views.

"Everyone can acknowledge that unethical practices might be present within the pharmaceutical industry, but that cannot be confused with opposition to vaccines," the statement reads. "Neeson never has been, and is not, anti-vax. His considerable work with Unicef highlights his long-held support for global immunisation initiatives."

The response added that the performer was not involved in crafting the film's editorial content and that inquiries about its content are best addressed to the filmmakers.

Key Themes Within the Film

In the film, the narration provided by Neeson features several controversial statements:

  • It states that pro-immunization voices have demanded "blind obedience" to health authorities.
  • It declares that "medical science has become deeply influenced by politics."
  • RFK Jr is interviewed stating, "The big problem with vaccines is that they simply are not properly vetted."
  • It takes aim at Covid lockdowns, claiming they caused severe distress that resulted in thousands of lives.
  • On the topic of pandemic shots, it mentions a perspective that they were "rushed to market" and seen as "risky trials."

Previous Controversy and Ongoing Disputes

It also references a historical film about clinical trials on children, which was later the focus of a correction by the corporation for editorial breaches.

Recently, the political figure directed the national health agency to change its longstanding position that there is no link between vaccines and autism spectrum disorder. This assertion is repeated in the documentary, despite a fresh analysis from the World Health Organisation confirming no connection has been found.

A Past Record of Endorsement

Differing from the documentary's message, Neeson has in the past shown strong support for vaccines in his role as a charity ambassador.

Previously, he described vaccines as "a remarkable triumph," stating that "The debate about vaccines in recent years has forgotten how much positive impact they have done... It is perhaps one of the biggest collective achievements in our history."

The film concludes with Neeson's voice saying, "This is not the finish of our story. It is the start of a new chapter."
